Day 550: Imperfections Are Part of Perfection

Day 550: 11 November 2022, Friday

The moment is the whole thing, a gestalt, not just a part of it. There is no cheating in this game. Everything falls within it. All things follow universal laws. Everything that arises will also pass away. Karma unfolds. To be the whole moment, the whole time is the entire game. All forms of practice are this. 

It is the imperfections that make it perfect. The struggle is the glory and the strife. Without difficulty, there is no progress.

There is nothing to want outside of this. 

‘Come out and play!’ It says.

‘Mother says we can’t come out,’ we say. 

‘Do not give your heart to 

anything else,

But to the love of those

who are clear joy.’

Freedom cannot be the goal nor the result of practice. One must be free also from the attachment to the fruits of one’s work, just as one attains freedom from the attachment to doing the work. Freedom is first and foremost the beginning of all practice, just as it is the middle, and the end, of all practice. 

It takes courage to suffer death and be reborn. 

Every moment, a new plot of land. Each instant is a point of departure. There is no metaphysics here, only time and its duration. Just becoming, free from even the attachment to any particular becoming.

Truth is inconsistently consistent. It’s all relatively universal, can you hear that one? If you want truth, prepare for uncertainty.
